The Best Acid Reflux Remedies - 2nd best
DGL (Deglycyrrhized Licorice ) is one of the most important acid reflux remedies when digestive problems are present. The reason for the deglycyrrhized part, is so that the licorice won't raise your blood pressure. I have used and continue to use it whenever I feel that my digestion needs a little soothing ever. Acid Reflux Remedies - DGL
There have been hundreds of studies upon the extraordinary effectiveness of Licorice/DGL as an anti inflammatory, soothing and healing agent for the Intestinal tract. In addition to using Licorice as heartburn and acid reflux remedies, Licorice and Licorice based compounds have been studied and shown effective or of great promise for the following:
acts as a broad anti-inflammatory(1)useful chemo-preventive agent for peptic ulcer or gastric cancer in H. pylori-infected individuals. H-pylori.(2)Killing cancer cells. (3)Acts as an antidepressant, SSRI (serotonin reuptake inhibitor).(4)Resist disseminated candidiasis due to Candida albicans by Th1 immune response.(5)As a possible treatment for Colon Cancer.(6)
How much does it take to be effective?
It can take as little as 1 or 2 500-750mg tablets to get relief, depending on product quality and severity of symptoms. Luckily, you don't have to worry about over dosing on DGL since there are NO side effects that are considered unsafe. This is why DGL is used and not straight licorice root. When the Licorice is NOT deglycyrrhized it has the potential to raise your blood pressure.
You can forget the myriad of and heartburn/gerd drugs—they are expensive and littered with side effects compared to DGL. In addition to this, I have recommended it to many people and they all have told me it works superiorly to their medications without any side effects. If you have not been able to find acid reflux remedies that work, the evidence that DGL will help you is over whelming. Give it a try!
